Our "deep knowledge" of Manugistics implementation has led larger consulting organisations to offer us leading roles in planning, realising and auditing their implementations of Manugsitcs.

Often the standard Manugistics planning algorithms do not give, in some areas, the results required by the Manugistics customer.

This might be, for example, in CPP's lacking support for production cycles, or Deployment's limited abilities to balance stocks at the end-warehouse level, or lacking visibility of end-customer demand types at the Plant level.

In some cases, Manugistics has offered, for key version-7 clients, to customise the source code directly, to modify the algorithms during the implementation, beyond the standard enhancement process.

More usually, however, the required functionality can be achieved by adding custom-made algorithms to pre- or post- process the data outside Manugistics.

This needs a thorough, and robust approach. Process modelling, specification, coding-methodology and configuration-control must all be of the same high quality, particularly where Sarbanes-Oxley compliancy is a requirement.

We have specialised in this creative use of the standard algorithms, together with the framework for implementing them, and have named this concept Manu_Plus™.
