After an initial implementation, there is often a significant potential for performance tuning the system, in terms of parameters, process, and in interface and setup coding.
As early as version 5, our technical approach was to Time-And-Log-Everything. By logging and timing all processes, it is easy to identify bottle-necks, and thus focus optimisation effort. This approach has now also been adopted by Manugistics themselves in version 7, most noticably in the IGP interfacing package. |
